Please excuse my absence, Ainz and Black Bruce Wayne put me on probation after my last post about the darkside of New York City. Guess my fellow New Yorkers didn't like the criticism. But I'm back like Shyne Po and I don't plan on getting deported. Anytime soon anyway.

I'm sure you're no stranger to all the great things that New York City has to offer. You don't have to live there, just listen to a resident or even a visitor. They'll surely go on and on about how this city is one of, if not, the best. And as a native New Yorker, I'm often spitting more hot fire than Dylan about how amazing "my city" is. But like anything, there are pros and cons.

There was a stint in the 2000s when hip hop was real dismal. More dismal than it is right now. The best you could hope for was Mister Cee's throwback at noon because what was on the airwaves was trash. I think you remember what I'm talking about.

It's a basic story that movies, songs and surprisingly some ideals have been developed from. In case you're not familiar with the prototype, the basic deal is that a destitute woman falls in love with a man who's beyond wealthy and because of their love, the man rescues her from a life of poverty.

The folks here at SH Collective were gracious enough to let me do another post after I messed up their couch like I was Rick James. As a result, I had to put my cleanest hip hop fitted back on and put the lifestyle blogging to the left for a second.
