[...] I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s a woman’s world, but what is the consensus SHC fam? Are we quick to take the side of a female involved in an incident of domestic violence whether she is the perpetrator or victim original post here. [...]

@ T.R Riley- I definetly agree that we should all just keep our hands to ourselves. BUT in the heat of the moment..flailing arms can quickly switch, and b4 you know it the fists are balled up...I think that diffusing the situation instead of feeding into it or pondering over whether or not its fair is key.

@Seattle- Walking away is just as strong as a punch in the mouth. That irrational individual is then left to huff and puff all by themselves.

Very good points..I'm learning lots! :)

I personally feel as though both men and women should keep their hands to themselves. i don't think that its fair to men to have to deal with an abusive woman and vise versa. My (sometime off) logic suggests this... if a woman where to punch another woman in the face she would EXPECT to be hit in return, however, if she punches a man in the same fashion.. she expects no retaliation whatsoever. In fact, if he does hit her back she is outraged... why outraged? That in itself is a double standard that unfortunately is too pervasive in this day and age...
Maybe everyone should just keep their damn hands to themselves!

You're right, this is one area where it's a lose/lose situation for a man. I've heard from my female friends that if a woman does lay hands on a dude, she should expect the same treatment. So in that case, if CH was to swing at the chick he would be kind of justified. However, we all know folks would still shake their head in shame. I know I would.

I've always been taught not to hit a woman because I would do a lot more damage than she could. I'm not talking about going toe to toe with Leila Ali here, I'm talking about the average woman. Like with Brown & Rihanna. If she did start the fight, Chris definitely ended it.

As a man, you have to know to just walk away sometimes regardless of how much a woman is egging you on. Because at the end of the day you'll be the one that looks like the aggressor.
