Here at SH Collective we try to support individuals who are very talented and on their way to the top. Mo Reilley is a all around mover and shaker that if you aren’t aware of her now; we guarantee that you will soon enough. She took the time out of her busy schedule to sit and talk to us about what she has going on in her life.

Ainz:So can you please tell our readers a little about yourself.

Mo Reilley: Ainz thats the most general question ever (laughing)!

Ainz: listen,i have to ease in first (laughing).

Mo Reilley: I grew up in the capital city of MI, which is Lansing, not Detroit – for those who don’t know. I went to Eastern Michigan Univ & majored in Secondary Ed (to be an English & Theatre teacher) but I “took time off” after my second year. I was living in Detroit working two jobs and before I knew it a couple years had passed. I decided to up & move to Atlanta in the “Summer of ‘04″ as it’s known amongst my friends and I. When I came to Atlanta i made sure i finished school with my certification in radio & tv broadcasting.

Ainz: Your a on air personality on 95.5 The Beat in Atlanta was radio something that you always wanted to do?

Mo Reilley: I grew up performing in theatre and have always wanted to be involved in entertainment. I love music and used to listen to the radio and think “hey, I can do that too.” I wanted to pursue acting, modeling, radio, and working at a music label at some point; radio has won out thus far.

Ainz: What was your first music related gig?

Mo Reilley: My first music industry related gig was being on a “street team” with a few of my girls in Detroit. (laughing) Really though, I was a bartender at a club there and we happen to know a lot of industry folks and artists so it worked in our favor. We weren’t very legit though.

Ainz: Well most may not know we became good friends just by  meeting on twitter. How as social media affected your career on a whole?

mo2

Mo Reilley: Yep we met on Twitter and the rest is history! Being social is a huge part of being successful in this industry, so online social networks have played a major role. Twitter and Facebook are important now, but think back to the days of Myspace and even Black Planet! Lol! The internet has evolved and it’s been important to keep up.

Ainz: I saw you have about 3k in followers and almost 19k tweets on twitter. I feel like im not grinding enough over here.

MoReilley: I gained those 3,000+ followers pretty quickly and have been stuck around that number for a minute. I’m working on some new things though to build my network

Ainz: So that means your going to help me get my followers up?

Mo Reilley:Oh, well you don’t like to talk to people so we need to work on THAT first. (laughing) Then, I’d be happy to lend my consulting services. Ha!

Ainz Neal:You are right i don’t like to talk to everyone, we are cool so its ok

Mo Reilley:See you don’t talk to a lot of people, but a lot of people know of you. That’s a good thing Ainz. You’re like the Wizard of Oz!

Ainz:Hahaha

Ainz: I guess, lets switch subjects a bit, I do know your the avid food lover and critic, whats one of your favorite places to eat in Atlanta?

Mo Reilley: Yes, I am definitely a Foodie! In Atlanta there are so many great restaurants. A few of my favorites are Garrisons Broiler & Tap, Eats, and Eclipse DE Luna. We’d be here all night talking about food if you let me continue…Oh and I love Chow Baby, La Fonda, and Charlie G’s Hopefully each place hears about my ringing endorsement and decides to give me food. That would be awesome.

Ainz Neal:You were chosen to be apart of Ford’s Fiesta Movement. That had to be a great experience beating out 1000’s of applicants across the country?  I saw your “Tweet For Food” campaign  video by the way.

Mo Reilley: Yea, the “Tweet for Food” campaign was a mission assigned as part of the Ford Fiesta Movement. They actually found me on Twitter too. I had to submit an audition tape and was selected to be 1 out 100 “Fiesta Agents.” For six months we got to drive a 2011 Fiesta [all expenses paid] and be sent on these crazy missions. The experience has been amazing!

Ainz Neal: Whats in store for you career wise that we should know about?

Mo Reilley: My website MoReilley.com is being prepped for launch which will feature music & restaurant reviews as well as a personal blog. As far as radio, I just continue to work on my craft and secure voice over and hosting gigs. I’m also working with a growing clientele for my artist consulting business. Basically there’s always something going on in my world!
