Those that disagree that Jay-Z is not the king of Hip Hop right now will have a tough time combating the claim with another statistical conquest by the hip hop juggernaut.  The Brooklyn MC leaped frog over the King of Rock n’ Roll. More after the jump.

Based on Nieslen SoundScan figures, Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 sold over 476,000 copies in its first week which will officially make this his 11th straight #1 album to debut on the Billboard 200 within the last 50 years. The Blueprint 3 propels Jay-Z ahead of Elvis Presley and puts him second to only the sons of Liverpool, The Beatles. They currently hold the record of 19 #1 chart topping albums in the opening week. It’s probably just another day in the office for Hova.

“Please don’t bow in my presence, How am I a legend?/  I just got 10 #1 albums maybe now 11, more hits than a Now Eleven/  That is no reason to treat me as if I’m somehow from out of heaven ”
-Thank You (off The Blueprint 3)
